Meanwhile in the Czech Republic, they are working hard to complete the JEWEL Chandelier designed by Hans van Bentem for our private Russian client. Right now the glass is being blown to add the unique details to this chandelier. Making a chandelier takes three to four months on average. This depends on the size, the lightning used, the details and the techniques used.

We asked Hans how many of these beautiful chandeliers he has designed so far. No less than 50 pieces he told us.

This year it’s 20 years ago Hans designed his first chandelier. In these 20 years he designed chandeliers for Madonna and the Escher Museum in The Hague.

The GUN for Nicola Erni Collection and LION for the Ministry of Defence were very special because of their technical perfection and size. And of course Hans is very proud that his chandeliers will be part of ‘Amsterdam Oersoep’, and will be hung in the new Damrak passage way in his hometown Amsterdam.

We expect to show you the completed JEWEL Chandelier by the end of June!
