Also gnomes sometimes need new shoes, so did the infamous Santa Claus of the Binnenweg. The entrepreneurs association of the Nieuwe Binnenweg saw the exhibition S.H.O.E.S. in the Kunsthal as a good opportunity to put Santa in the spotlights. They invented a route which the gnome follows from his spot to the Kunsthal along the shops of the Binnenweg. The large foot steps are designed by Emma van Beek.

Especially for children there is a contest in which you can win delicious cakes at Koekela. They can count the footsteps of Santa Claus and share them on the Facebook page.
