In January 2022, k3 will start the construction of the Lingepolder: floating islands in the middle of the water with a floating solar panel field. The islands will form a connection between the north and south bank, which can be used by walkers.
Mothership came up with the concept of a floating dike with floating solar panels and floating greenery. The design for the Lingepolder depicts the typical Dutch landscape: the water, the dike and the polder. A floating field of solar panels moves in a wave motion towards the dyke, which can be walked on. Behind the dike is the polder in the form of floating, green islands.
