The past few weeks have been extremely busy for the Zoetermeer based Italian family-run business Zuliani. Hundreds of thousands of mosaic stones have been hand-placed by numbers in special mats. These mats will be used to assemble the 450m2 mosaic ceiling of the work of art ‘Amsterdam Oersoep’ in the Beurspassage in Amsterdam. Jeroen Everaert of Mothership has kept a close eye on the progress of the mosaic. The first stone of the mosaic ceiling of this biggest work of Art in the Netherlands is soon to be hand-placed. Apart from the mosaic ceiling the terazzo floors of ‘Amsterdam Oersoep’ are also made by these Italian masters.
