At Witte de Withstraat 7A talented students from three different departments at the Hogeschool Rotterdam learn what it is like to work on real art commissions. In five months’ time Mothership’s first edition of Threesome has put together and carried out a serious number of art commissions, including the ribbons for XXXL Painting, for the Boijmans Van Beuningen Museum, the centenary of Erasmus University, the coronation of the new Dutch king, art-while-you-wait at the Prins Alexander train station, the Muizengaatje station in Schiebroek-Hillegersberg, and the sesquicentennial of the Sophia Erasmus Medical Centre.
Every year about 20 highly talented students at the Hogeschool Rotterdam have art commissions which they themselves define and realize under the professional guidance of Mothership. The programme enables young talent to come into direct contact with diverse clients and professionals.
