Finally, on Wednesday the 1st of October the Rotterdam Markthal opens its doors! The festive opening starts in the afternoon for invited guests, later on, everybody is welcome!
This indoor and very colorful market is the first of its kind in The Netherlands. The first thing you notice is the gigantic piece of art which is placed on the inside of the Markthal. National and international press have also noted this work of art.
At this moment, preparatory work is now being brought to completion for the piece of art. At the centre of the image, near the sunlight, a beamer will be installed to show an animation. Want to know what the animation implies? Check it out on the 1st of October, we asure you that it ‘ll be impressive!
Commissioned by Provast, Mothership produced in cooperation with Team Arno Coenen a “tasty” 3D piece of art, named “Horn of Plenty”, It shows nature in all her aspects with sunlight as the source of all these beautiful things.
Are you hungry yet? Please visit from the 1st of October! The Markthal opens daily from 9 AM till 8 PM, surrounding catering even longer.
