Landmark voor de energietransitie<\/h2>\n

In 2019 kreeg Mothership van Greenchoice de opdracht om bij een nieuw windpark een iconisch, maatschappelijk kunstwerk te realiseren. Flying High, ook wel De Zwaluw \u2013 de uitkijktoren bij Windpark Streepland \u2013 is inmiddels opgeleverd. Gelegen tussen de A16 en station Lage Zwaluwe, kijkt ze uit op een van de drie imposante windturbines van het park.<\/p>\n

Het kunstwerk, ontworpen door Studio Jeroen Everaert en architectonisch uitgewerkt door Studio MAUC (Sander Boer), staat symbool voor de energietransitie.<\/p>\n

Wie de toren beklimt, ervaart op hoogte de kracht van de wind en kijkt uit op een turbine die stroom levert aan 5000 huishoudens.<\/p>\n

De bouw van de toren was een technisch hoogstandje. Matthijs Bijpost, eigenaar-directeur van WILWY, vatte het proces treffend samen als: \u201cboetseren met staal\u201d \u2013 een intens en vloeiend maakproces waarin kunst en vakmanschap samenkomen.<\/p>\n

WILWY is al meer dan 15 jaar partner van Mothership en bereikte met De Zwaluw opnieuw een bijzonder hoogtepunt.<\/p>\n

De toren is gerealiseerd door een vakteam van onder meer Wilwy, Palte, Tankens, MAUC en Carl Stahl, in opdracht van Windpark Streepland (Windunie, Greenchoice en Meewind). Een prachtig voorbeeld van hoe kunst, techniek en duurzaamheid elkaar versterken.<\/p>\n
