Lola Landschapsarchitect designed the new city park in which the Zeebank was given such a prominent place: the green City Hall promenade.<\/p>\n

Artist Jan van der Ploeg, for his part, brings the Zeebank to life with his beautiful colour combinations. Together, we have created the ideal place to sit, rest and enjoy a colourful environment. This Zeebank is the largest work that Jan van der Ploeg has ever undertaken.<\/p>\n

Mothership is responsible for the concept development here. The Zeebank is the first large (art) object within the Zeegroene Loper; the vision that Mothership developed for the inner city of Almere. In the run-up to the opening of the Stadhuispromenade and the Floriade 2022, several projects will follow, including three artworks in the public space of and around Almere Central Station.<\/p>\n

During the installation of the Zeebank, the first favourable reactions from Almere were immediately heard;<\/p>\n

“So beautiful, I am in love….”.<\/p>\n

“Speechless…rarely seen something so beautiful”.<\/p>\n
