Mothership thinks every rider in the Tour de France is a potential yellow jersey winner. Every starting rider has a chance to wear the yellow jersey. Almost 200 riders were portrayed on a yellow flag, including their names and the colours of their national flag. Artist Thijs Kelder of Studio Ruwedata designed the portraits of all the participants of the 97th edition of the Tour de France. Shipmate produced the flags. The yellow portrait-flags were shown on the Boompjes, at the foot of the Eramsus bridge, until the 14th of July 2010. After the finish of the Tour de France in Paris, every rider was given his own flag to take home. The team leaders of the 22 teams signed their own flags, turning them into special collectors items which were auctioned at a later date.
Commissioned by Projectbureau Le Grand Départ Rotterdam, Mothership acted as a producer.
