Museumnacht 2006
During the fifth anniversary of the Museumnight in 2006, two projects were presented with whom Mothership was involved. The first one is a project of Studio VollaersZwart and the second is a work by Arno Coenen.
Golden Glow
During the Museumnight 2006 in Rotterdan , various volunteers dressed in silver coloured jackets, were handing out golden balloons to the visitors. These took the balloons with them across town, to museums and galleries. This way the anniversary edition was decorated with a golden lining, made up of the omnipresent golden balloons.
VOC/VIP
In cooperation with Red Bull, the animation 'VOC/VIP' was shown. It was projected on two sea containers, on the square in front of the Arminius church in Rotterdam. The animation tells a grand adventure about battles at sea, internationale trade and current heroism, explaining the relation between old naval heroes and contemporary criminals.
