Year of the Farm 2003
12 exhibitions/12 provinces, during the months May and June, were part of this exhibit at multiple locations.
All the participating artists were asked to respond to the changes in the Dutch agrarian cultural landscape. In each of the 12 provinces one characteristic old farm was the site for showing the artworks.
Participating Mama/Mothership artists were:
- Arie Versluis & Ellie Uytenbroeck in Zeeland/Zaamslag
- Maurer United Architects – Travelling Farm Worldkitchen
- Geert Mul – 'Global Farming', North Holland/Middenbeemster
- Arno Coenen – ‘Je maintiendrai', in South Holland/Lisse, and in Gelderland/Angeren, a mosaic of beer crates
- Florentijn Hofman – 'Max' - Groningen/Leens
- Rufus K. (Humobisten) & Natasa Heydra – 'Milk', North Brabant/Waalre
- Iepe Rubing – 'Out of the Clay' - Flevoland/Kraggenburg
- Harm Jan Timmerarends – 'Explosion' - Utrecht/Bunnik
