GRRR JAMMING SQUEAK - Paola Pivi
Italian artist Paola Pivi was asked by Sculpture International Rotterdam to make a new public artwork on the Coolsingel, called 'GRRR JAMMING SQUEAK'.
The artwork is a professional, fully functioning recording studio to play music along with the sounds of animals, for free, and is located in a former bank building on the corner of Coolsingel and Stadhuisplein, with photographs of National Geographic photographer Vincent J. Musi on the glass façade.
The recording studio offers many activities and host various weekly events, such as concerts, lectures and workshops. Also radio broadcasts will done from there.
At the end of the year, an album will be made with the most remarkable recordings
GRRR JAMMING SQUEAK is part of the long term program of SIR for the Coolsingel Axis (2009-2012)
