Regan Gentry (1976) is from Otago New Zealand and lives and works in Rotterdam. As a sculptor Gentry looks at the relationship of people and their environment, and to how this is acted out. Using a wide range of materials and situations, his work is often characterized by the versatile use of material, language, location and structure, usually combined in a light and playful manner. The combination of people and places, local history and contemporary situation are important to him in making conceptual decisions.
