Banner Le Grand Départ Rotterdam

Mothership was asked by the Le Grand Depart Foundation Rotterdam to come up with something grand and special for on the river Maas in Rotterdam. Immediately Mothership came up with the idea to use a crane vessel, which was sponsored by Bonn & Mees. The crane lifted a 400 m2 banner, produced by Blomsma Print & Sign. Irene Jacobs, the designer of the artwork, is a Rotterdam based artist who previously made illustrations for the Tour de France 2010 campaign and the Olympic Winter Games. The artwork, the size of a 10 storey building, was presented during the teams presentation of the Tour de France on July 1st, 2010.
