Jorge Bakker (1973) is a visual artist with a background in architectural design. He was born in Cali, Colombia, but grew up in the Netherlands where he now lives and works in Amsterdam. After getting his BA in Architectural Design at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy Amsterdam in 2008 he completed his MA in Applied Arts at the Sandberg Institute Amsterdam in 2010. Bakker is primarily known for his sculptures and installations with an architectonic twist which often serve to make the invisible qualities of elements like water and wind visible.
